Grief can be incredibly isolating, and we need all the support we can get. After Mike died I knew I desperately needed support and yet I didn’t know where to begin. It was overwhelming and I struggled to even start thinking about what I needed.
These pieces might be the most helpful and gentle place to start and ground oneself.
They aren’t prescriptive, as we know everyone’s grief is different. Instead, think of my writing as an offering of possibilities. Some of these helped me in the earlier days and some came months or over a year later. Take what’s helpful and leave the rest (and if none are helpful feel free to share them with your enemies).
Let me know. I’d love to hear from you.
